While waiting for news during the Tokyo Game Show that starts this Thursday, September 12, Square Enix celebrates the twenty-two years of the US release of Final Fantasy VII with a remake of an iconic game.
It was on September 7, 1997 that the adventures of Cloud, Tifa and the others collided with the North American territory (eight months after Japan and two before Europe). A memory forever engraved in the memory of many players.
Among the relics of this era, this unforgettable visual of the hero standing in front of the building of the Shinra, slightly overhauled for the jacket. It is on him that the developers of Final Fantasy VII Remake have set their sights to celebrate this anniversary on social networks.
Square Enix has already released some in-game screenshots, including the one we have put up at the top of this post. The artwork is fantastic, and in our view, really does justice to the original game. While the graphics are far more advanced than the original game 22 years ago, we definitely feel that they maintain the same style, and we expect most people will share our view.
Final Fantasy VII Remake will be available on PS4 on March 3, 2020. We can’t wait to get our hands on it.
